In a short time frame, you really captured grief in all its gritty detail- the weight of taking on roles of the people lost, pressure to return to day-to-day functioning and the fragility of family dynamics. I felt a strong affinity to David’s character and his guilt, regret and his attempt to make amends. Most of all, I appreciated that you depict your characters re-investing in their lives and each other. It gave the movie some lightness and closure. I have always enjoyed your work as an actor but I hope you also continue to write and direct.
